Growing up, I've always been partial to chocolate milkshakes, with or without icecream! Either in a bottle from Keventers or a large ice cream soda from Nirulas. Later in while living in the US, I think I drank my weight's worth of the boxed variety!!
All of this changed with the alterations in my diet to keep my lactose-intolerant tummy happy. Now, this new and much improved Cashew Chocolate Milk hits all the right spots!
There are days when nothing but a chilled tall glass of really chocolatey milk ( no other flavor comes close ! ) will do for me. This recipe delivers that and more - All the wholesome goodness of homemade cashew milk, maple syrup, raw cacao powder, and cinnamon. That's it, four ingredients, to give you a rich, creamy, delicious chocolate milk, that makes you feel like you're drinking a dessert, a healthy, nutrient-rich dessert! Fooled those tastebuds again!!
As with my Saffron Turmeric Cashew Milk, this drink can also be served heated up in winters to bring you the warmth and coziness of a Hot Chocolate!

I started salivating just by looking at the pictures. Though I am not lactose intolerant, but these days I am hearing a lot about negative effects of hormone laden milk sold in the market. For this reason, I have been thinking of trying almond milk. After going through this recipe I will try cashew milk as well. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Vandana, these homemade nut milks are a great alternative to the regular milk. Even if you don't want to switch to them completely, they are a good change in the diet. Very nutritious and tasty.I hope you'll try them sometime. Please do let me know how these worked out for you.
