Summer days are long and slow….just as I like them. With kids at home on vacation, there is no hurry to go anywhere or any urgency to get anything done. This is the best part of this season for me.
While the heat can be exhausting and saps away my energy, another gift of the season comes to my rescue – summer produce! There is an abundance of gorgeous fruits and vegetables in the summertime that make for irresistible smoothies.

These smoothies are a blessing in every way – colourful, bright, nutritious, energizing and easy to make! With a handful of ingredients, these easy blender recipes are the perfect tonics to counteract the summer heat. Whether you start your day with these, make it a meal or snack, these summer smoothies will satisfy and nourish you.
